Produced by Walter S. Heebner and Richard C. Simonton and tapes issued in 1968 about the same time as the "Keyboard Immortals" was playing on the radio. Recorded with Ampex gear and performed on a Steinway Grand in 1962 and 1963. Simonton had travelled to the allied occupied German Welte factory just after WWII and recorded some mono tapes for Columbia in 1948. His principal interest was the similar Welte pipe organ system for which he wanted rolls and he struck up a fortunate friendship with aging inventor Edwin Welte.
