These are the original works from which the cartoon movie score was transcribed by Stokowski. Disney shortened most of these, in fact the complete music soundtrack tape (BuenaVista BVF101) is only one hour and 44 minutes long! Igor Stravinsky (the only composer of the group that lived to see the show in 1939) was not particularly amused at having 10 minutes removed from his masterpiece. But that's typical Hollywood, a lot of good stuff ends up on the cutting room floor. This feature was made before the invention of high fidelity magnetic tape recording, so the orchestra had to be recorded optically, the analog precursor to the CD!!
