RCA, original owner of the station, no longer manufactures any television broadcast related equipment. Comark, which purchased the RCA transmitter business, built the digital transmitter for KNBC. RCA brand name, purchased by Thompson, the international leader in consumer electronics, does offer digital TV receivers for your home.
NBC offers Jay Leno Tonight Show and Crossing Jordan in HDTV. In its own "Crossing Jordan", the network has just complete switching all affiliated stations from the old analog satellite program delivery (skypath) over to digital delivery (son of skypath). This has resulted in improved video and audio quality for the regular channel broadcasts as well.
